Who We Are

Silhouette of trees and an oval outline with the text "CWPP Implementation Team" inside.

Known as CWPP IT (“see-double-you-pee-pee-eye-tee”), the Community Wildfire Protection Plan Implementation Team is a volunteer group within the auspices of the Glacier View Fire Protection District (GVFPD), and whose charter is to implement the Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).

The CWPP itself is a document outlining our strategy to develop and maintain a Fire Adapted Community, which is defined as “a human community consisting of informed and prepared citizens collaboratively planning and taking action to safely coexist with wildland fire.”

The following are excerpts fromt he 2022 CWPP:

Overview of Glacier View Fire Protection District, highlighting fire risks and past wildfire impacts, with a map showing fire areas and details.

Implementation Team Structure

CWPP IT membership is comprised of a coordinator, five committee chairs, a communications liaison, and a variety of volunteers. More members are always welcome! It takes a village, and any help is welcome, no matter how large or small. Please contact the office if you are interested.
