GRANT OPPORTUNITY:

The Glacier View Fire District is pleased to announce that the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management has opened their 2023 Community Mitigation Grant Program. Organizations eligible for this grant are individuals, non-profits, road associations, housing associations and similar groups. Full information on this grant can be found at the following website https://www.larimer.gov/emergency/community-mitigation-grant-program. Note that applications are due by March 5, 2023.

In 2022 this grant helped Glacier View Meadows chip their community slash piles and assisted Red Feather Highlands implement an evacuation road vegetation reduction project.

If you want to make an application to this grant program you can reference our Community Wildfire Protection Plan. This plan provides risk maps and programmatic recommendations for wildfire risk reduction across our district. It can be found on the GVFD website at https://www.glacierviewfire.gov/files/b57fbf4eb/GVFPD+-+Community+Wildfire+Protection+Plan+-+FINAL+6-2022.pdf. The CWPP executive summary and implementation plan can be found at https://www.glacierviewfire.gov/files/b696af0af/GVFPD+-+CWPP+-+Executive++Summary+and+Implementation+Plan.pdf.
